The idea of Marudhanayagam was first publicised 15 long years ago, when Kamal was doing Guna. No one (except him, maybe) knows if his dream project will ever see the light of the day. We fans keep talking various things about it and are excited at any wee bit of news related to it. Leave aside melancholy for once and take a look at this series of photos with funny captions.

Nice one! That was quite funny. I wonder if/when the film is made, Her Majesty will be in the titles? I really wish Kamal would make the film. It could be his other masterpiece.

It is a shame this magnum opus never (am refraining from using “never will” )saw light of day despite the colossal publicity and expectations.
Every Indian cine-goer will have had some anticipation of an unparalleled cinematic experience. But in awaiting this to happen - despite the logics of the oppsite - we shall hold our anticipation with bated breath.
