Whether it's Himesh or Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, I believe the primary motive is to sell the movie in Hindi. Shirish and Ashmit Kunder are known for editing on the spot, which I'm not sure any other editor does. If you just think of other technicians that are Kamal regulars, you'll realise that North Indians are truly exceptions. Stunts were reserved for <i>Vikram</i> Dharma till he passed away. For camera, Kamal used Sriram and his various former assistants. Even in editing, there were various people before the Kunders. The list goes on... In teh 80s, fights were chorographed by veeru devagan when talented masters were avl here. The tehnicians in films like virumandi, MX, now DV. PC sriram has worked with kamal in just a handful of films. Just read kamal's interviews in filmfare. U will know how much he craves for recognition up north.
