Siva, i agree Rajini’s ‘Panju Muttaai-Wig’ is unbeatable! SJ Suryah and T.Rajendar are the only person who can be compared with Rajini.
btw, lets eagerly wait for the 9 other avatars of Kamal. Im sure the getups will amaze every one of us. Already im thrilled to see his performace as ‘pygmy’(that still was terrific). My only worry is Kamal shouldnt make his characters speak in different languages. That will make the movie more classy(like Hey Ram).

HI! Jay do you remember AALAVANDAN’s box office collection? Anyway with all the hype about Kamal being unrecognizable in DASA and looking at the latest stills, I don’t see anything unrecognizable!It would be the biggest joke in indian cinema if Kamal needs make-up artist from Hollywood to look like that! RAMARAJAN , T.R would definetly laugh their heads off! Looks like SIVAJI will rule the box office as usual! OOUUCH!

I think kamal should stop trying to differentiate roles purely by just changing his get-up. His best performances have come in films where he has played his usual self sans any special make-up - nayakan, mahanadhi, guna,thevar magan etc., etc.,

On the other hand, the makeup stilted his performance in Indian & avvai shanmughi.

One sincereley hopes that the excess publicity for DV does not prove counter productive.

Your concern for excessive publicity is valid. But in the case of Dasavatharam, the hype is being created by the media (including this blog) when Kamal or the crew aren’t opening their mouths much. Your first comment comparing Kamal with Ramarajan was in bad taste.

I agree I shouldn’t have compared KAMAL with RAMARAJAN but it was just to prove my point that the so-called DASA stills is nothing great and I hope it’s fake.The truth is KAMAL’s DASA is being anticipated worldwide to come out and raise the bar of tamil films.Hope KAMAL and K.S RAVIKUMAR knows that !KARTHIK don’t be angry for my previous comments.Can anyone explain the logic in replacing A.R.RAHMAN with HIMMMESH?

If Rahman is considered for a movie but not brought in, the reason can only be Rahman himself — busy or too slow. Same is the case here. I believe Himesh Reshammiya is just a ploy to sell the movie better.

You know the difference btw sivaji & indian?.. in sivaji, shankar spent crores to show oldman rajini as a young guy but in indian shankar spent crores to show young guy thalaivar kamal as an old man!!. First of all any tamilian in the world would feel pride of this tamilian called kamal, so a true tamilian will always support kamal.. I stay in bangalore, and you should see the response for the flop mumbai express movie too…… the decorations were tremendous. Let me tell you that rajini has inclenation towards karnataka.. all his movies to be shot in mysore compulsorily and he has few farm houses here, all the guys working there are marathi speaking guys. Tamilnadu thambigalaa,.. Rajiniya vaazhavaithadhu tamizh paalu aana enga thalaivar, udal mannukku uyir thamizhukku.. so please support the cause of tamil and the true tamilian.
