MarmaYogi: next movie mystery solved?
Almost all has been quiet on the Kamal front of late. Of course, that means that something is brewing. The mystery was finally resolved through reliable sources. Kamal’s next movie will be Marma Yogi (”mysterious saint”, shall we say?), directed and produced by himself. With a curious title, the surprises are that it’s supposed to be an action thriller — and I thought Kamal would direct only ’serious’ movies (Hey Ram, Virumaandi) — and that the music will be done by AR Rahman. Talks are on to rope in a Bollywood heroine, as the movie will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Oscar Ravichandran, UTV and Adlabs are all in talks related to production and distribution. The movie might be launched in January. We can see that the domain name is already registered and it mentions Raaj Kamal Films International, Kamal’s production house.
Marma Yogi is also an old MGR flick, known as the first Tamil movie to receive an ‘A’ certification. Kamal’s penchant for old titles (Apoorva Sagodharargal, Sathi Leelavathi, etc.) continues.
Junior Vikatan, the Tamil weekly and the Chennai edition of Deccan Chronicle too sniffed out portions of this news recently. After several rumours and announcements regarding Kamal’s next movie earlier, let’s hope this is the final one.

Well, this is something. The title is mysterious. Kamal, to my mind, is one of the best directors from Mainstream Indian cinema. Now, Kamal “the scriptwriter” is the best from Tamil cinema hands down (no debate here). Add to it, the actor who is the finest there is, in Indian cinema. So, we got ourselves a potential masterpiece on its way.

Sify reaffirms about “Marmayogi”. A.R.Rahman is touted to score the music.

MarmaYogi is the tamil rendition of Val Kilmer’s The Saint. the
difference is He dons the names and guises of Indian sages to
do justice in the world.
Just imagine anniyan meets raja rishi.Thats how he does it, but
with a difference, instead of killing the corrupt he makes his
killings as Gods wrath on the injustice. But in the end, There
will actually be a Real gods Miracle that will save the people.
This is the last climax of the picture. Its still in the infant
stage of pre-production.

for the first time kamal as a director joins the maestro ar rahman. The film will definately get a huge success. Dasavataram misses rahman in background score.

MARMAYOGI STORY
Its a 7th centurey story, there are two powerfull dynesty as neigbour countries,the both thinks
the other as a contemporary ravials, and the queen of the dynesty wants to destory the other dynesty’s
king’s family totally, as a result she kills all the members of the kings family except the heir of
the king (the prince)
and the cheif commander saves the child(prince) and guards him, and the queen wants the princes
to be killed,
but the c.commander breaks the plan and guards the little prince, and like wise the story moves on and at last the c.commander wons and make prince to rule the kingdom is the climax

Mr Murthy’ synopsis is Quite right, I impressed at how He obtained part of the REAL pivotal point of the story, however there is a twist. It has both an ancient story and a new age story. Whateva that Murthy said is true save for the Prince part…There is no Prince. But is the Commander himself. The story will first take place in ancient india and then it will roll down to present day India where a Mysterious Saint will change the world.
Its a story about Karmatic effects and re-incarnation and how it will all been God’s ultimate Master Plan to teach humankind to get back to the Correct path. Like I said its a Tamil version of Val Kilmer’s The Saint
