Fan felicitation / photo session, 2008
It seems like it just happened a short while ago. But it’s already a year since Kamal had an open meet with fans. On Sunday morning, Kamal felicitated 35 women and 8 disabled people who donated blood during the November drive. This was followed by a photo session. Around 5000 gathered in Savitri Ammal Oriental School, in the campus of Sanskrit College in Chennai.

I think he’s going to stop attending all these events soon (after launching Marmayogi) and stay away from the media for a few months. He may do some promos for Dasavatharam though.

dnm: Are you saying that because he’s attending so many events? I just thought he’s having some time to honour quite a few invitations, which he doesn’t really get once into a movie fully.

Randramble: You are right. He wouldn’t be in the media once he starts shooting Marmayogi. However, I feel it might be April (after Dasavatharam release) before that happens. I’ve always liked him taking time to attend so many events, mostly for low-key people. No other actor/star does that. I think he has been doing that more often over the last few years.
