Dasavatharam outbreak!!!

With the Dasavatharam trailer out on Kalaignar TV yesterday and making way to YouTube within a day, the barrage is here! With the audio release function just a few days away, the fever has caught on for sure.

The trailer provides enough fodder to analyse for several days to come. It is done Hollywood style, with extremely short glimpses of various characters portrayed by Kamal and other actors.

The music for the movie has raised doubts through the two years or so. Now, the background music score (by Devi Shri Prasad) is satisfactory, suiting the tone of the trailer.

Almost all that we have heard till now seem to be true. Yet, the story is not really clear. Also, we await watching nuances of each of the ten characters.

Overall, the trailer is fantasically done, increasing expectations while not giving out too much.

    Randie,

As you said, the trailer does not reveal much about the characters. The characters I could make out were that of Rangaraja Nambi,Avtar Singh,The Scientist and the old lady.I am sure that the old lady in orange is Kamal.I think the team has made it a point not to reveal too much in the trailer.Otherwise it will dampen the suspense.Way to go Ravikumar!!

guys- my gut feeling is this: after Kamal’s experimentation with Hey Ram failed due to inadequate marketing (that was the main reason for its failure) and alavandhan’s failure due to insufficient/poor press coverage, i think Kamal has put all the positives out of those experiences and made a surefire blockbuster which will have everything for everyone!

it will create the same sensational ripples like Apoorva Sahodharargal, or perhaps even more!

Hi fellas. Notice the vibes you experience … something’s remiscent of shades of Da Vinci’s code type of thriller / adventure with Kamal’s various characters playing the antagonists / protaganists… well, what a thrill-a-ride it’s going to be!!

    Randie,

I saw on one of Kamal related sites that you can see all ten characters in the trailer. Is it true?

  10. Gajen says:

I saw Rangaraja Nambi, the old lady, the tall man pushing a trolley, a fat guy running towards a plane, the scientist,a guy with shades, the guy with the megaphone,Avtar Singh,a martial arts guy and the president or someone….well lets see…thats errrrrr..10 in all…aaaaaahhhh..!!!…so…so…all the characters have been revealed..!!

Do you guys know the story of Ramanuja - based on which the plot has been devised? It’s an awesome story and if Kamal manages to pull it off like the way he usually does, we’re in for one hell of a thriller. Words fail me when I try to describe the genius that is Kamal Haasan.

  13. randramble says:

Krishnan: That info was already published on AllThingsKamal.info.

The trailor is mindblowing, the background score by DSP is awesome though inspired by a Hollywood theme music. After seeing the trailor, i can’t wait the movie, let’s hope Dassavatharam will be a blockbuster and a good movie.
