Secrets of Appu the dwarf!
Kamal has never openly talked about how the dwarf character of Appu in Apoorva Sagodharargal (Apoorva Sahodarulu / Appu Raja) was done. But now, Singeetham Sreenivasa Rao, the director, has revealed most of the ’secrets’, almost after 20 years.
Rao mentions special shoes, using a trench, masking technique and also artifical legs. He also throws light on the efforts put in by Kamal. Read the whole report from The Hindu.

hi gowry, endhiran or any movie could not stop kamal sir from being ulaganayagan, i think ur not belong to this comunity, cause earlier you told the same thing for kandasamy, but 2 sad as we say in malaysia , we make sure that kandasamy cant get bigger and we prove it, the moment UPO hit screen in malaysia, not even single screen showing kandasamy. Rajini fans never been fare enough while spreading news, you people always living in dream and always thinking dreaming is ife.dasavatharam is the highest grosser of tamil movies. 100% credit go to kamal on dasavatharam success.but either sivaji or endhiran cases more than 50% credit go to sankar. other 50% shared by rajini, ar rahman, producer and media’s (by giving hipe). no one can reach nearer or beat kamal at anyway. kamal always 100 year ahead of rajini by thinking. (smale example : kamal adopted 1000 AIDS affected children and rajini sponserd some lights to tiruvannamalai temple) think about it. don’t compare anybody with kamal.

Hello kamal fans why are you trying to hide Rajini”s success.Rajini never needed a shankar to give HITS.But only shankar needed a Rajini .Shankar”s first silver jubilee film is SHIVAJI(not even INDIAN).secondly it was sankar who was in need of a STAR like RAJINI.could he have tasted the same success with anyone like Vijay,Ajith.No….we all know it very well.we should feel happy that the friendly competition between Rajini and Kamal is providing us with good entertainers.

Manmadhan Ambu has made an impression on the North American audiences as the movie is running to packed houses. The Christmas weekend is also a contributing factor for pulling in more crowds to the theatres. With yet another long weekend in the offing due to the New Year, this success run is expected to continue.Kamal Haasan has a long fan base in the US and his ventures with director KS Ravi Kumar is more than welcome among the movie buffs here. Further, the film has Trisha and Madhavan who enjoy immense popularity in the US.
The movie’s response in Tamil Nadu is excellent as well. Those who come out after watching Manmadhan Ambu could not stop appreciating Kamal’s sense of humor and the subtle comedy.

I have been a great fan of Kamal since my college days and have seen all his films since Nayakan when I was 18. His dedication and hard work were inspiring and infectious. But the current movie was disappointing. More than half the movie was serious and then it was going like a comedy show. Songs were bad.
What was more hurting is the constant criticism of Hindu beliefs in each and every movie in the recent past. He must understand God is not only for Hindus. But he never tends to attack other religions beliefs. In one of his interviews he mentioned that religion like sex must be kept indoor. So is the case with him. If you don’t believe just keep it with you.
Please note God is a presence and not a relationship no matter from which religion it is. If you believe humans could do everything and that is why you think you are a so called atheist / rationalist then you are mistaken. The air, water, land and the sunlight around is the God. Even if you bring all the 6 billion people in this world you cannot stop it fury or match its kindness.

Before we debate if Iyers/Iyengars are Aryans, can you define who is a real Indian ? a Tamilian, a Telugu or Maharashtrian? One who speaks their country’s language or one who belongs to this soil (may be you think Dravidians are real Indians?)
So called Dravidians, for your kind information are also not from India or atleast as the history goes they haven’t originated from Tamilnadu.
Only advantage Dravidians have is, they arrived India before Aryans, as per the history they are from Southwest China (see wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dravidian_peoples).
Its not what that matters if a person is a Dravidian or Aryan, all it matters is what a real Indian do this to this people, society. Lets ask the same question whom do you think as an Indian who cared for social upliftment? We can count them real Indians in our fingers.
From that perspective,
Father of our nation Gandhiji is an Indian, so will you disbar him as he is an Aryan?
Mother Theresa, do you think she is an Indian? She is from Albania but took Indian citizenship, can we forget her selfless services to our fellow countrymen?
