Dasavathaaram’s dream run
Dasavathaaram has had a dream run, with collections estimated to have crossed 300 crores of Rupees. Above is a recap, thanks to the efforts of Karthick of the Kamal Haasan Orkut community. The 100th day poster deserves a separate viewing though. Here goes, with thanks due to Balaji.

Sify.com carried a report on the occasion, including a interesting tidbit. Kokila too released on the same day as Dasavathaaram in 1980 and had a 100-day run in Chennai. Check out the article for its poster.

Thanks a lot for the look back journey of Dasa. Rs.300 crore collection might probably be the highest collection for an Indian film worldwide. Kamal Sir can still even cross the 500 crore and 1000 crore mark with his spectacular imagination of screeplay workings in the upcoming Marmayogi and Marudhanayagam.
It’s an uncomparable talent that Kamal Sir has got which we couldn’t see from Shankar or Maniratnam. It’s of course the 46 years of sheer experience in cinema that shines till now. We
don’t have the age to wish u Kamal Sir, hence with our royal salutes and awaiting ur 50th year of entry into Indian cinema.

in indian cinema, kamal is the inly actor who can take our films to worldwide and get oscar award. long live alwarpet aandavar.
