Marmayogi shelved!!!
We have bad / sad news (from reliable sources) on the eve of Kamal’s birthday — Marmayogi has been shelved! The murmurs were going on about Pyramid Saimira not being able to continue with a mega budget movie after their recent losses (including Kuselan). Other production companies seemed to be in the fray, but finally the project has been dropped postponed. This was also hinted by Kamal’s shortened beard, seen recently in the protest fast for Srilankan Tamils. Kamal, as usual, seems to have moved onto his next project titled “Thalaivan Irukkiraan Irukkindraan” (some kind of irony, huh?). Hope we will have a formal announcement soon to make everything official.
There was an interesting group of actors — Hemamalini, Trisha, Shriya, Shobhana and Venkatesh. Even photo sessions seem to have been done. But unfortunately, yet another movie of Kamal’s has been put aside. Marudhanayagam comes to the mind immediately. Anyway, we can trust Kamal to come up with interesting and great movies in the future.

Chaos theory effect!!..Its an irony that Flopstars film has stalled even the production of the universal heros most expected film.
We fans are upset at this and imagine how much kamal would have been upset but what sets him apart from any Indian actor living or dead is his unbelievable passion for cinema and i wish him 100 more birthdays on this occasion.
He is indeed a fantastic rolemodel in regards to his dedication and passion and sincerity.
Naango irukkom thalaiva ungalukku.
Thalaivan irukkan ellarokum.

Randramble,
Definitely not the post I expected on his birthday :-(…This is heartbreaking for fans…It is sad that none of the so-called corporate giants actively fund good cinema. Lets hope he comes up with another good movie soon!

As strange as it might sound, I actually expect Kamal to come up with a good comedy script at this time. It’s been quite some time since he delivered a laugh riot. I don’t think Mumbai Express was up to the mark, since he had set high standards for himself in the past. (Read Michael Madhana Kama Rajan).
A simple comedy script with all the nuances you usually expect from a Kamal film is all I’m looking for. I think it will be a great treat for us fans. What do you guys think?

I REALLY REALLY HOPE that this TRUNS OUT TO BE NOT TRUE!
I STILL BELIEVE THAT KAMAL WILL GET THE FUNDS TO GO AHEAD AND
DO THE MOVIE!
Let’s wait and see!
I would not take NO for an answer until it comes from the MAN himself!
Keeping all that can be crossed - crossed!

Just as true fans would have it… nothing is done till it is done. Marma Yogi’s fate (or outcome) is best left as it suggests … Marmam.
Kamal himself has made numerous indications that tamil movie making must be corporatised and managed professionally & proficiently. Financing must be a consideration now more than ever, with the global crisis taking its toll on most international ventures. Marma Yogi with its budget and international marketing / distribution objectives must have had its fair share of concerns.
We, as fans, just hope the man stands above all this and indulges us once in a while with his passion … movies.

As a die hard fan of kamalsir I am totally upset by the bad news. But, if this is true the reason for dropping the movie must be informed to the media and to the public by pyramid saimira group. Because there are lot of groups which will put the blame on our kamalji’s head. NAMMAVAR VIRAIVIL VERU AVATHARAM EDUPPAR. NAMMA THALAIVARUKKU SAATHIYAM ENBADU VERUM VARTHAI ALLA ADHU ORU SEYAL. COME ON THALAIVA WE ARE ALWAYS WITH YOU.

Ha Ha Ha. Rajini all the way. If Saimira cannot hold a loss of 60c Kuselan, how will they manage utter flop of 90c Marmayogi? At last justice served. Enthiran going to 3rd schedule.
Dasavatharam: A film of ugly make-upa with no story or screenplay. If Kamal has a business of 150c, then Shankar would have made Enthiran with him. Even SRK needed to self produce the film. But with Rajini signed up, Shankar can find producers too.
