A Wednesday it is!
Finally, the confirmation comes from the horse’s mouth itself! On the sidelines of the FICCI FRAMES convention, Kamal affirmed that media reports were indeed true. The name of the remake is not really out though. The movie will feature Mohanlal while being directed by newcomer Chakri.
Chakri is the person who starred with Kamal in Dasavathaaram as Sairam (’Shit’ Ram!) and eons ago as the little boy assisting the photographer in Saagara Sangamam (Salangai Oli).

Whoa!! Finally…Confirmation on something.Randie, don’t you think it’s high time that Kamal gave himself fully to the director without ghost directing or attempting to influence the end product?I remember posting a link to an article which spoke of Amitabh Bachan working with an unknown director from Nepal or somewhere.I don’t remember the exact details but it said that Bachan had worked with this particular director who was famous for his ‘alternative cinema’.

Gajen: I think you’re referring to Rituparno Ghosh’s Last Lear. I don’t think that’s a good example. From what I see, Rituparno Ghosh is a pretentious filmmaker who seeks out Bollywood actors on a regular basis to provide visibility to his movies.

Randie..The director was just an example that came to mind.My point is why doesn’t Kamal sir start afresh? Just like a newcomer? Is it because that he has to cater the to fan base?

what do you know about cinema to decide what kamal or anyone for that matter has to do. Kamal is more of a creative person than just an actor. It just shows you have understood very little about kamal

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH CARMEN! IT SEEMS AFTER THE RELEASE OF DASA THIS WEBSITE HAS NOTHING MUCH TO OFFER! YAWN!!! WHY CAN’T KAMAL THINK OF SOMETHING ORIGINAL? DOES HE NEED TO ALWAYS COPY FROM NASSARUDIN SHAH. REMEMBER KURUTHIPUNAL? SO , KAMAL IF YOU ARE READING THIS I WOULD LIKE TO SAY I AM WILLING TO GIVE SOME ORIGINAL IDEAS FOR YOU TO WRITE YOUR NEXT SCRIPT.

Let me reply only to the constructive part of the above criticism. It is true that this blog has been lagging in providing news. Work is on already to rectify that problem. Thanx for your comments.
