Kamal participated in a felicitation function for the famous Tamil writer D. Jayakanthan, organised by Indo-Russian Cultural and Friendship Society (IRCUFS) and Russian Centre of Science and Culture on April 24.

Kamal who has always expressed his admiration for the writer, recalled his childhood memories of eavesdropping on his sister’s reading sessions with his mother. Again, childlike, he said he was thrilled to sit next to Jayakanthan.
